In a heartfelt display of gratitude, actress Jennie Garth has publicly thanked her ex-husband, Peter Facinelli, for providing shelter to her and her family during the devastating wildfires that have swept through Los Angeles. The fires, which began on January 7, 2025, have burned over 20,000 acres and forced thousands of residents to evacuate their homes.
On January 9, Garth took to Instagram to share her emotional experience, stating, “I wanted to inform you that we are secure. Peter and his family have provided us shelter and shown immense kindness.” She was accompanied by her husband, Dave Abrams, and their three daughters—Luca (27), Lola (22), and Fiona (18)—as they sought refuge at Facinelli’s home.
In a touching video shared on social media, Garth expressed her deep appreciation for Facinelli’s generosity. “I am incredibly thankful to Peter for allowing us to stay at his residence, along with all the girls, the dogs, and Dave. Our home survived the night, and we feel truly blessed,” she said.
Despite their home being spared from the flames, Garth conveyed a profound sadness for the community affected by the fires. She remarked on the extensive cleanup that lies ahead and expressed her eagerness to assist neighbors in need.
Facinelli, who is now married to actress Lily Anne Harrison, has a young son named Jack with her. The couple welcomed Jack in September 2022.
Despite their divorce in 2013 after 12 years of marriage, Garth emphasized the enduring connection they share as co-parents. She expressed sadness for those affected by the fires while also acknowledging the outpouring of love and support from friends and family.
As the wildfires continue to wreak havoc across Southern California, many residents—including other celebrities—have been forced to evacuate. Garth’s message serves as a reminder of the strength of community ties in times of adversity. She urged her followers to keep those suffering from the fires in their thoughts and prayers.
